Vintage Adolfo for Saks Fifth Avenue Velvet Pleated Skirt

Super cool rare pleated velvet midi by Adolfo. Lined. Button & hook closure. Super good quality, skirt has a nice weight to it. Estimated 60s-70s.~ Size: Waist: 24in, Length: 30in.~ Condition: Vintage good, no rips & tears. One tiny mark on the front of the skirt, barely noticeable. Please see pictures. Adolfo began to design clothing to complement the hats he designed and his models wore, and by the mid-1960s his celebrity clients ranged from the Duchess of Windsor, Gloria Vanderbilt, and Betsy Bloomingdale to Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Nancy Reagan (who wore a red Adolfo dress, currently in the Smithsonian, to her husband’s second inaugural ball). His custom clothing was available both in his salon and in the Adolfo boutique at Saks Fifth Avenue.
