Vintage Aboriginal Shell Necklace

A lovely piece with two strands of intertwining shells, delicate, magic. The clam shells are so thin that light glows through them, the snail shells carry a melange of colors, reflections of the land from which they were gathered, beautiful and complex. True Vintage, early 20th century, a rare longer lei, strung on thick cotton thread. No clasp, this slips over the head. From a smoke free home, the faintest scent of perfume detected. It smells expensive lol NOT from Hawaii, but further than that, from the shores of Australia, Aboriginal early peoples work. Has vintage patina from the years and some shell loss here and there, but nothing dire. Please see photos to be sure this is perfect for you.
