This is such a fun vintage find From A&F. Very, very Y2K! It is a cashmere, angora, wool blend short sleeve baseball ringer knit tee. The adorable cat is saying "Merde" which is french for "Shit". So fun and kitsch! It is labeled as a M, but it is definitely more of an XS. It does have stretch, so check the measurements for a better idea of fit. Cropped. In excellent vintage condition. Super soft. I don't speak french so I googled Merde and found this fun little nugget of info on the french word: Merde means “shit” or “crap.” This is the way you’ll see it used in most cases. As with “shit” or “crap” in English, it can be used on its own or as part of a sentence or phrase. Merde means “Break a leg” – that is, the way theater actors say “Good luck” before a performance. The reason why gives a colorful picture of the past. Back before cars, people would take a carriage to the theater. If so many people were showing up for a performance that there was stand-still traffic, the horses would inevitably have to relieve themselves in front of the theater. And so, merde being tracked into the theater was a (stinky…) sign that the show was a success! All measurements are taken while laying flat and are approximate. It is better to bundle!!
