Vintage ‘93 Climax Karen Okada for David Howard Black Velvet Bodycon Maxi Gown

This stunning vintage ‘90s Climax Karen Okada for David Howard black velvet bodycon maxi evening gown features striking silver embellishments on the bodice, silver beaded straps, a V-neckline, an open back, and 27 1/2 inch side slit. The label dates the dress to September 1993. Perfect for weddings, prom, homecoming and dressy date nights. Measures 16 inches underarm to underarm, 43 inches underarm to bottom hem, waist measures 14 inches across. The size tag is a 5 / 6; it fits like a modern U.S. Women’s XXS. The back beading shows a bit of light tarnish (last photo), but I don’t consider it to really impact the gown. Otherwise, the dress is in excellent pre-owned condition.
