Vintage ‘80s Diamond’s Run by Wayne Diamond Black & Red Open Back Blouson Dress

This lovely vintage ‘80s Diamond’s Run by Wayne Diamond dress features a black and red baroque print, knee length blouson cut, V-neckline, pleated bodice, half sleeves, elasticized waist, shoulder pads, and an open back. There are also belt loops if you choose to add a belt! The fabric is a bit sheer, so it’s best worn over a slip or something similar. A little bit about the designer: Wayne Diamond was a super successful fashion designer who was well-known in NYC for his flamboyant style and larger than life personality. His disco dresses put him on the map in the ‘70s, and he also famously designed Vanna White’s dresses on “Wheel of Fortune.” He appeared as an exaggerated version of himself in the Safdie Brothers’ 2019 film “Uncut Gems.” Measures 18 inches underarm to underarm, 27 inches underarm to bottom hem, sleeves measure 10 3/4 inches, waist measures 11 1/2 inches (which sounds tiny, but it is elasticized!). The size tag is a 9/10; it fits like a modern U.S. Women’s Medium. In excellent pre-owned condition.
