Hello sfgypsy! How r u? Is the gold frame fading? Is it vermeil or solid gold? Thanks much

sfgypsy
@lovely525 yes it is vermeil/yellow gold electroplated. The four corners are faded, I wore suits in the 80’s so guessing the jacket cuffs caused this effect.

Can this be corrected?
Jan 27Reply

sfgypsy
@lovely525 yes, I believe it could. Perhaps contact your local Cartier store for details.

@lovely525 I’m selling as is. You have to except some wear on Vintage-part of its charm!

What is that in red you marked on the back?

I’ve marked out the serial/ID number on the photo. This number certifies it’s authenticity.

what is the size, please? I have a 7.5 wrist

sfgypsy
@anniebar101 Annie, thank you for your interest. I’m struggling to take photos showing measurements as the leather band curls slightly and will not lay flat.
I would call the leather on the clasp end 3”, the face is 1” and the longer leather end is 4”. Keep in mind you can always purchase a longer band, this one was purchased at Cartier at the Dallas Galleria.

Hi sfgypsy! are you the original owner of this watch? Thx
Jun 06Reply

sfgypsy
@emptyshelves It was gifted to me. So I’m under the impression I’m the original owner. So enjoyed wearing it during my corporate years. Unfortunately, I don’t have box or paperwork 😩

@sfgypsy Thank you for the honest reply! What year was it gifted to figure out the year? Have always wanted one.

sfgypsy
@emptyshelves gifted by the love of my life. I’ve covered the id number in the photo, let me see if that leads to a exact year for the watch. I’m thinking it was the early 80’s but could be so wrong. I’ll see what I can find out.

I’m in a small town but I think there is a jeweler who can help me with serial number and additional info. It maybe next week before I can accomplish this. Are you okay with that?
