Vintage 70's/80's Signed Giovanni Christmas Rose Snow Rose Brooch Pin

Lovely sculptural long stem rose in gold tone. These were so very popular mid-century. Almost 2" long. Pin extends slightly from the safety C clasp. This is a newer version 70"s or 80's and signed "Giovanni ©" on the back, the trademark of a costume floral jewelry line created by Longcraft, originally in the early 60’s. Extremely popular - This “Snow Rose” is the line’s iconic piece, based on The Legend of the Christmas Rose, a rose that blooms in snowy mountains on Xmas Eve - also known as the Rose of Christ. While this piece is costume gold tone, its detail is considered a masterpiece of art and is compared to Givenchy. I have another of these that is an earlier original 60's version also listed. One person owner all these years and in excellent vintage condition with no flaws - an iconic work of American art.
