Vintage 70s Tartan Red Plaid 100% wool midi skirt by Personal • ILGWU Union Made

Pictures do not do this skirt justice. It is magnificent. 100% wool tartan red plaid Scottish / Irish midi length skirt Vintage from the 1970s AT LEAST. Another person w/the same skirt believes its from the 60s, maybe even the 50s. This is very old vintage skirt-but its condition is perfect w/no flaws to speak of, just gorgeous Union Made ILGWU by Personal Brand It has some details that make it very rare, special & unique. It opens up & closes w/1 single small button on the first layer. this button isnt visible from closure but where it folds over it has 2 brassy vintage dimes as visible buttons, 1 is functional. Then it has distressed fringe going down two pleats & a chunky big safety pin attached which was like that when I got it, I dont know if that is someone’s personal touch or if it was original to the skirt, I think it gives it an almost punk/grunge feel to it, but not quite, the skirt retains it classic elegant nature, but with the right accessories top & shoes it could be made to be more rock n roll if desired. Plaid wool skirts are my favorite, there is so much versatility in aesthetic as far as the different looks & vibes you can do w/them. Then on the other side there are some gorgeous pleats. I hesitate to say which side is the front & which the back bc I think it could be worn both ways. I would not be selling this if it fit me.
