Vintage 70s Tan Purple Oval Design Fringef Oblong Scarf or Headwrap

This scarf measures measures 70 inches long by 8.5 inches wide and has a 1 inch fringe consisting of the the threads of the fabric (see photo). There is no label and construction details suggest this may be handmade. The fabric feels like an aetate. There design consists of a mostly beige background with interlocking ovals in purple, mauve, blue and white. This piece most likely dates from the 1960s or 1970s. It is in GOOD vintage condition. There are a few water marks/stains, which I have photographed. In order to preserve the integrity of the piece and not damage it as this is delicate material, I have made no attempt to remove the stains.
