THE ORIGINS OF THIS SHOE: The Dr. Martens 1461 Oxford lace-up shoe was first made in 1961. It was the second design produced by Dr. Martens, following the original 1460 8-eye boot which debuted in 1960. The "1461" name is derived from its launch date: 1/4/61 (1st of April, 1961). The D3137 number inside the shoe is a model variant code used during the production era of that specific pair.
DETAILS:
- 3-Eye laced
- Iconic Dr Martens yellow stitching, air cushioned rubber sole marked "Made in England".
- Iconic Dr Martens durable construction....you'll have these forever!
- Good Vintage Condition with minor creasing and a couple of scuffs. Also, you may want to purchase inserts for the shoes due to one being slightly folded over in one corner. It is partially coming loose so would probably come out easily.
- I have treated these beauties with Dr Martens Wonder Balsam, which nourishes and protects the leather.
- Goodyear welted construction.
- Round toe.
- Durable air cushion rubber sole.
- Oil, fat, acid, petrol, alkali-resistant.
- Slip-resistant.
