Vintage 60s MCM Dansk JHQ 833 Jens Quistgaard Teak Wood Salt Pepper Mill Grinder

For your consideration is an older, earlier Danish made edition of the 833 model. Iconic mid century designed Dansk Jens Quistgaard Teak Pepper Mill salt shaker combo. Smoother lines all around and slightly shorter than the newer 1980's version which were made in Thailand. Enlarge all photos. You're getting the darker shorter one that's made in Denmark. I sold the taller newer one. Wood has natural darkened patina from being handled and gentle edge wear from being used. There are some lighter spots on the top half. Both ends working as intended. Excellent running condition. Pre-owned. Bottom is 2 3/4" in diameter, tapering to 2 1/4" wide at the top. 7.5" tall. The mill dispenses salt through four holes in the top rim of its oval. Salt is loaded via a standard salt plug at the apex of the design; pepper is loaded via its underside. The seemingly flat faces of the oval's surfaces have moderately pronounced curvature, mostly noticeable when viewed trom an angle. Bottom has entry that slides open to add the peppercorns.
