Vintage 60s Black Velvet Bow Embroidered Empire Waist Formal Maxi Gown Small S

This is a gorgeous vintage 1960s black floor length gown. In a fancy mod style the bust is a lovely wide set scoop and sleeveless. Embroidered across the darted bust— almost in a classic smocking style— are the cutest little flowers!! Very subtle flower power vibe :) Super empire waist fit with attached black velvet ribbon that has long fluttering front ties. Bow needs to be pressed flat again, as you can see in pictures, but that’s no big deal. The fitted embroidery ends at a drop waist or just above the hips on most into a straight black floor length (on most) gown. Dress is fully lined with long back metal zipper. The dry cleaning tag is still attached to lining at hem. Please note: One tiny! white mark as shown in picture on the back lower part of the gown— hardly noticeable at all and no big deal. Measurements Chest 34”-36” Waist 29” empire— tight! Waist 30” natural Hips 34”- 36” depending on height Length 52” This is such a standout piece. Very Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I love the idea of it with elbow length gloves :) Could be styled so many ways— would also be perfect for a gothic spring look with fishnets and combat boots :) No materials listed but feels like an acetate or something similar.
