Vintage 60s B&L Ray Ban 10k GF Bullethole Shooter Sunglasses
This pair of vintage Baush and Lomb Ray-Ban Sunglasses are a somewhat rare variation of the aviator shaped Ray-Ban bullet hole shooters. The bullet hole bridge creates a stronger frame for shooters to protect them from ejected shells and became a trademark look for outdoors oriented people. Released in 1963.
The un-etched lenses were made by B&L from the mid 1950s through the early 1970s. The Decot Shooter model, with their distinctive low nose pad design, ensure a taller field of view and superb eye coverage. The Bausch & Lomb G-15 mineral glass lenses are an excellent match with the 10k gold plated frame. The Ray-Ban Decot bullet hole shooter frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and the top of the nose bridge is stamped Ray-Ban B&L USA. The pearlized brow bar and cable wire ear stems give these Decot shooter sunglasses the most secure fit possible.
The cable wire ear stems look crooked in some photos, but they're perfectly straight while wearing, aswell as being able to easily bend and adjust to fit your face shape. Due to age the metal is a tinge tarnished. Also see photo with circled light scratch/dip. other than that they're in great condition which is amazing considering they're ~60 years old! Notice how you can't see what is circled in most pics, it's only at certain angles/lighting because of how light that spot is.
