Vintage 50s plum spaghetti strap dress

Vintage plum colored dress with spaghetti tie straps, a sweetheart neckline and full skirt. This probably dates to the 1950s with the full skirt and metal zipper. Manufacturers started using nylon zippers in the 1960s. The color came out a little more yellow in the photos; the 4th photo is accurate. Some irregularities, it’s seen better days, but it’s so sweet and definitively durable enough for wear. Bust: 34” Waist:26” Hip: Free/around 96” AS IS: This piece has very obviously been altered and dyed. I’ve included photos of the hand stitching on the interior. One small tear in the left armpit lining. My guess is this was originally white based on the color of the zipper pull.
