Unmarked vintage figurine. I believe it to be some kind of plastic but no idea. Might be Bakelite or it might be common. The Virgin Mary Praying for World Peace The Holy Mother of the Catholic Church is Standing On / Over the Earth Praying for Peace or Salvation of, and looking over, mankind. It has yellowed with age. No idea who made it or where it came from. Has been in the family LONG since before I was born (and I am getting up there). Downsizing to a smaller place and Mary is ready to fill a new generations’ home with love and serenity. It may be Bakelite or other resin but I have no idea how to test it so the composition is yours to discover. 7 x 2 inches. JJ21339§999

str1ngette Your beagle looks just like our beloved beagle girl who sadly passed way at the age of 14.5 years old. Your beagle looks exactly like her when she was younger♡♡

auntieane @str1ngette - we just lost our oldest beagle, same age as yours. Very sudden. I am crushed. This goofball makes me laugh of course, but they are all different and it is thar difference that is missing in the house. My sympathies for your loss. I know how hard it is.

str1ngette @auntieane just one. Whe had two beagles 1 was 14.5 and the other 9. They grew up together and when the female died at 14.5 years old the other was very sad. So we got him another beagle who was 5 at the time (he's six now) . he never took to him and loss tremendous weight as time went on. He passed away on our bed while we slept. He literally died from a broken heart. And needless to say our hearts were forever broken that both are gone.

auntieane @str1ngette yeah. I totally get that !! The one we lost recently was never the same after her “sister” passed away a few years ago. She loved us, but you could always tell that she missed her sister. My heart breaks for you. I am almost in tears thinking about this. I am a very Sympathetic crier. 😃 😢 😂
