Vintage 50’s Emma Domb Gold Waterfall Brocade Cocktail Dress. Union Made

This dress was an incredible find. She is a shimmering, shining beauty, and her simple, graceful lines really allow the gorgeous fabric to take center stage. Emma Domb dresses were known for their unerring style and high quality, and the fact that this dress is still so stunning after so many years attests to that. She’s a bit elderly, but she’s in amazing condition. We should all look as good at 70 as this old gal! The fabric and the thread are still strong and whole. No rips, tears, fraying or weak spots are present. All the fastenings are still strongly intact. The lining is still strongly intact. ILGWU label 1955-1963. Late 50’s is my guesstimate based on style and fabric. She looks like she just left the store on the arm of an excited young lady ready to make her grand entrance at the dance. Measurements (flat) Waist: 13.5 in. Bust (armpit to armpit): 16 in. Hips: 19 in. flat, but skirt is flared and full, so there’s some room there. Waist to hem: 26 in. Shoulder to hem: 37 in. Do not pass up this amazing dress!
