@lilahlou Hi Dana: I’ve only ever used the pot for decorative purposes. I wouldn’t use it for cooking because of the tarnishing documented in the photos.

@lilahlou Thesr copper pots are completely safe to cook in, and are even recommended. It looks like it's tarnished, but that is because they are tin lined. Tin Lined pots / pans are completely safe to cook in and to eat from. plus Tin os a non-reactive material. Also, these pots can easily be re-tinned.

@susanneh223 the tarnish is fine. Just needs a bit of baking soda and boil to clean it up. Unless there is copper showing through the size of a dime or so, it's fine to use as is or cleaned up.

Beautiful! Wish I could afford! If it is clad inside with a safe for food use metal it is fine to cook in it. Straight up all copper is ok as long as you don’t cook anything acidic like tomato sauces etc. The best thing for cleaning copper tarnish is Barkeepers Friend.
