Vintage 30s/40s Mexican China Poblana skirt

This is one of our most unique finds! This skirt is a China Poblana, a traditional Mexican costume skirt that is highly collectible! It's made from what feels like a cotton flannel in bright red and a green satin waist section with a zig-zagged seam and banded hem. It is covered in beautiful multi-color hand-sewn sequins that form a stunning eagle on one side of the skirt. Black butterflies are screen printed along the bottom, with an abstract dot motif all over the rest of the skirt. This is such a rare and beautiful piece, and to have found one from this time period makes it even more special! This is one of the more impeccable pieces I've come across.
