Vintage 30s NRA Beaded Purse

Vintage 1930s NRA beaded bag. This art deco sweetie was made between 1933-1935 under the National Recovery Act. If you don't know about Depression-era fashion history, please check out the white gown in my shop for a little more info (and to check out that beautiful 30s dress, which this purse would perfectly suit). This purse has a Talon zipper with chain and ball pull, stunning floral motif, and finger loop handle on back. Measures app. 6 1/8" x 4", making it a great evening bag/mini clutch. It is still usable, though its age and material call for extra careful use. Please note that some beads on the front have been lost. I would recommend reinforcing the bottom of the loop, as pictured, for use. A lot of the bags I have found from this time are made in Czechoslovakia, so it's extra special to find an American made one, especially since it was made during a time of great American hardship.
