Vintage 1981 Quail Tortilla Warmer Made Of A Gourd

Gourds are natural insulators, so they make excellent tortilla or bread warmers. Just heat your tortillas or bread, then put them into the gourd with the fabric wrap, which is included. They will stay warm for up to 45 min. This vintage gourd is approx. 12" diameter and 9" tall. It is painted with a southwestern design. The gourd was never used as a warmer. It was used for display only. It was purchased in July of 1981 for $120 from the Heard Museum in Arizona. Some paperwork (see photo) is included.
