In spite of the fact that it always bothered me that this brand is "Le Jupe" and not "La Jupe," this company made such high-quality skirts and other women’s clothing throughout the 1980s that their pieces are still going strong today. (Le Jupe clothing was sold mostly at The Limited stores, which is where I purchased this one back in the heyday of shopping malls!) This skirt has such timeless style and quality workmanship that it remains in very good condition even after more than 30 years. Made in the USA of 100% coarse-woven cotton (with slubs), this mid-calf length skirt features a large, diagonal buffalo check of teal, gold, orange, and umber. The diagonal plaid has a slimming effect. Because it is 100% cotton, it is fairly lightweight and hangs elegantly. Size Medium, with an elastic waist that could stretch up to a size large. No deterioration of the elasticity in the waist, which sometimes happens with vintage clothing. Dimensions: Waistband (unstretched) is 25 inches Length is 32 inches Unlined, with two hidden side pockets.
