Vintage 1980s Laura Ashley Black Velvet Quilted Shoulder Bag w/ Braided Strap

This sweet vintage 1980s bag by Laura Ashley is made of 73% cotton and 27% modal and is lined with a black 100% cotton fabric. It was made in Great Britain. It's quilted velvet* and zips at the top. The shoulder strap is braided, [*I'm not 100% sure that "quilted" is the right word, because although it's decorated with lines of stitching, there isn't puffy material between the stitches. It's just stitched seams on the outside velvet layer and inside cotton layer without additional layers of fabric between those two layers that would puff between the seams like a quilt.] This is classic Laura Ashley. I worked at the store here in Atlanta in the late 1980s and remember us selling this bag in the store! As shown in the 2nd photo, my 6.5"x 3.25" cellphone easily fits into the bag with room to spare. This lovely bag is in good-excellent vintage condition. Please review the below measurements carefully. The 1st two measurements were taken on the front of the bag.
