Vintage 1980s Gala Julie Francis Open Back Black Green Seashell Brocade Dress

Vintage 1980s Gala by Julie Francis gown with a black crepe bodice, deep v open back, drop waist with ruching along the hips and an off-set rosette, leading down into the skirt which is given a full - not quite ball gown - shape by a tiered lining that has tulle at the lower tiers. The skirt is a really beautiful and unique seashell pattern brocade in a slightly teal toned green that has a bit of a metallic sheen to it, contrasted with black. Original shoulder pads are still attached. Size 6. No fabric tag, but feels like silk blend (which would also be characteristic for Julie Francis, whose lines were high-end, and often used luxury fabrics). Gently used.
