This is a beautiful sophisticated pair of brass bookends made by Virginia Metal Crafters in 1987 featuring the words "Thomas Jefferson's Cipher" on the back. Virginia Metal Crafters logo is also stamped on the back. They have felt pads on the base to protect your furniture. Both are in wonderful vintage condition, with a few scuffs, typical of brass this age. I tried to capture some of the scuffs in last 2 pics. You have to get them in the right light to see them. They are nice shiny brass. I included pics from all sides so you could judge the condition for yourself. I also have a matching beautiful brass "Thomas Jefferson Cipher" trivet listed. :) Measurements: Approx 6.25" W x 2" D x 5.5" H I have a large brass collection I am trying to pare down a bit.
