This vintage Lacey gown has been clean and stored since 1979. Tagged a size 8, but bust form is a 6 and I x couldn’t get it zipped up. Bust measures 16 in across and waist 12 in across. Bustles up in back. There are some small spots that I believe will come out with cleaning. Also, some snags in the material here and there. See last pics. Please ask any questions.

@mygrain59 Thank you so much. When I tried to zip up on form I was shocked at how tiny I was then😂. I feel Hugh now compared to then🤣

@holly_jones Thank you so much for the compliments☺️. They are in pretty good shape especially when they’ve been moved from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to Wyoming and now to Missouri😂

So beautiful...I recognize the vintage, as that was the year I got married, too! I've been contemplating selling my dress.....you may have inspired me to let it go.

@melaniegreycat Wow! Seems like a lifetime ago. It’s not like it was in the past where you pass it down to a daughter. They don’t want this old stuff (what I was told). I’m downsizing and letting lots go!

@skpwyo Well, I think the passing down tradition has been over for a long while. Was clearing out my parents attic and found not only my mother's wedding dress (1950) but my grandmother's, too (1918). Neither had had a 2nd act even tho totally gorgeous. So, maybe when we're young we just want our own thing on our wedding day. let's hope somebody wants and cherishes vintage wedding dresses that come with awesome vibes from the past. Rock on!!

@melaniegreycat Yes for sure. Years I kept an assortment of infant and toddler clothes for my grandchildren and my kids didn’t want to use them😂. It took me a while for it to sink in,that they were only special to me!

@skpwyo The right person will find it special to them, they just haven't found it yet! There are people out there that appreciate vintage wedding dresses. When my husband and I got engaged his mother gave me her mother's silk wedding dress from the 30's that was absolutely beautiful!
We inherited her hope chest in which was her wedding dress! I've now got 2 amazing vintage wedding dresses still in their boxes with accessories. I may try Ets#*y, that's where there's a larger vintage market.

@ergochloes Thank you for the lovely conversation and the precious memories of the past. Life goes so fast...seems like yesterday I wore this dress. I'll try other outlets as well💕
