Vintage 1976 McDonald's Captain Crook Glasses - Set of 2

This set of two collector glasses is from McDonald's in 1976. The glasses feature the McDonald's character "Captain Crook." Captain Crook is a character who was featured in McDonald's McDonaldland series of commercials. According to an online search: "He is pirate and is similar in appearance to the famed Captain Hook from Disney's 1953 movie Peter Pan. The character is compared to the Hamburglar, the difference being that he does not attempt to steal hamburgers but instead he tries to take as many Filet-O-Fish sandwiches as possible. In later commercials, he was referred to simply as The Captain and his appearance was modified to make him to look less sinister). He was dropped from McDonaldland commercials following streamlining of the characters in the 1980s. His true last appearance would to be a small role in The Adventures of Ronald McDonald: McTreasure Island." These glasses are in excellent used condition with no scratches on the printing and no chips, marks, or scratches on the glasses themselves. Note that the second glass on the right side of the photo shows the front of Captain Crook in fore-image and the back of the image that's on the other side of the glass and thus facing the other way.
