Vintage 1974 "Croak Folks" Series Print, Signed by Artist, Ginger Hale Crowell. 11-8 Tennis Net “Hang in there Harold!” Matted, 11 x 14.5 inch artist Eleanore "Ginger" Hale Crowell, (1941-1997) She was an interior designer and a painter who worked on Stanford Park Hotel, before Her life ended tragically in 1997 when she pulled a six-shooter revolver on her ex-husband and fired five shots at Mr. Crowell, a controversial Bay-Area developer. Reportedly, the pair had been attempting to reconcile following their 1991 divorce at the time of the confrontation. After hitting Mr. Crowell, the artist turned the six shooter on herself. This is one of her last works before her Croak Folks have been featured in the New Yorker Magazine and Sports Illustrated, and inspired many famous modern artists.
