Vintage 1970's Turquenite & Sterling Silver Necklace

This necklace is a stunner! It includes 55 turquenite spike beads with tiny silver spacer beads...also features a lovely oval pendant stone in a sterling silver setting. The clasp is a secure barrel screw surrounded by 2 silver beads. The definition of 'Turquenite' is used in the lapidary/mineral trade and is a permanently dyed Howlite gemstone. Dimensions: Length = 18 inches long Oval Pendant = 1 1/4 inches long x 6/8 inches wide NOTE: The right side has 2 small silver beads together. This was an early piece from the artisan, but the asymetry gives it character and is not noticeable when being worn...please see photos. Properties: Turquenite is known as an “attunement stone” for its ability to balance and even out mood fluctuations bringing inner peace. Decreases an overly critical state of mind, selfishness, stress, pain and rudeness whilst it increases subtlety and tact. Turquenite extremely calming so use for meditation.
