Vintage 1970s Handmade Sterling Silver and Turquoise Chunky Size 5 Ring

As I’m here writing about this ring, I’m thinking that the word *chunky* might not be the best descriptor … but it does in fact, have some chunk to it. My dad was on location in Santa Fe for a lot of 1974. Considering the number of turquoise rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings we have, he must have spent most of his downtime in Santa Fe square having jewelry made for him. I don’t think he ever caught on that my mom only wore gold and that his gifts were being stashed away. This ring is a beautiful deep blue turquoise surrounded by textured, sterling silver blobs. (again, probably wrong word, but I’m tired.) Size 5 (just over it) 1 ¾ “ x 1 ¼ ” The ring isn’t marked as most handmade jewelry wasn’t in the 70’s, but it is sterling silver. It has hardly been worn and there are no signs of wear.
