Vintage 1968-69 McCoy/Tom Sim's Kentucky Bourbon Apollo 11 Spacecraft Empty Decanter. Beige colored with brown painted highlights, “APOLLO” on both sides. Sculptural decanter of the Apollo 11 Spacecraft that was the first mission that landed on the moon carrying Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong in July of 1969 that was at one time filled with Kentucky bourbon from Tom Sims Distillery. Maker’s Mark on bottom: Thomas W. Sims Distillery, Stanley Kentucky, USA DEC 1968, 1969. McCoy Design. Clean inside, cork aged condition but looks fine and works. Any brown spots in photos are actually part of the brushed painting design. There are no chips or crazing. It is 56 years old and a see some wear on the large topper, one line scratch may even be a little hairline crack but can’t tell— no depth to it and not on inside just outside. I would tell you if it was cracked and it is NOT, it might just be a line. See Photos. Measures: 10”T x 5.5”W Base: 4.75”. Topper: 3”T x 3.5”W Weight: 3.14 lbs.
