Mirsa, the high-end Italian knitwear company, was founded by Marchesa Olga di Gresy in 1937. Until 1984 they made high fashion ready to wear that sold in Saks 5th Ave in New York. Newspaper articles from the 60s, the decade to which this emerald green sweater dates, are full of superlatives describing the Marchesa and her designs. You get the idea. And funny thing, it's all true! The color alone of this sweater is just so fine. A true and saturated emerald green, marled with blue. The sweater has a boxy shape, raglan style sleeves, polo collar with a gold button. 100% Wool. Rare and beautiful find. In excellent condition.
