Vintage 1960s wedding or mother of bride dress & jacket Clifton Wilhite M maxi

Lovely vintage Clifton Wilhite of Dallas dress and matching jacket. Dress shop tag inside jacket is from Adele's House of Fashion, Vicksburg, Mississipppi which was sold and rebranded in 1970. Plastic zipper so late 60s dress. This would make a stunning wedding dress. It is a candlelight type color lace overlay, with a matching two button 3/4 sleeve jacket. The dress looks more mature with the jacket, so it would also make a beautiful mother of the bride dress. Adele's was known for wedding apparel, so this is likely from a 1960's wedding party member. The back slit has an added lace "pleat" that is removeable. It is attached on one side and not the other for easy movement. You could be creative and remove the pleat and re-channel it into a veil or head piece. Good condition item. There are some specks of darkening of the lace on the dress (last 2 photos) - it possibly could be lightened. But it isn't so dark that you couldn't wear it as it is. Or wear the jacket . Lovely item, great for a retro style wedding since this is a true vintage item, and easy to date with the fashion house label. The tag size is 12. Measurements are - waist measured around approx 28 inches. Underarm to underarm across the bust is approx 20.5 inches. Length from the waist to hem is approx 39.5 inches. There is a 3" hem that you could use to lengthen. Hip area is approx 19 inches across the front. It has a scoop neck in back so I measured from top of shoulder to waist appox 14.5".
