Vintage 1960’s Sylvia Hood of Pasadena Original Rare Chalkware Pottery Turtle

This little guy is stunning, one-of-a-kind, and looking for a new home. In excellent condition! Some wear to bottom of his feet only. No chips, breaks, or repairs. Rare original piece by Sylvia Hood, who created her chalkware masterpieces in Pasedena, California throughout the 1960’s. His body is a hammered textured black. His beautiful shell has vibrant shades of turquoise, white, and a pop of red right in the center. He has a charming little face with a happy smile. Please see photos for details on dimensions.
