Vintage 1960s Softest Blue Velvet Fit and Flare Dress

This dress is so cute and the velvet is SO soft and lovely! *Dress is a bit large, not pinned Features: Sleeveless Fit and Flare style Approximately knee length Fully lined Neckline can be worn with the “tabs” folded down inside for a more dramatic neckline, or up for a more modest neckline (see photos) Partial side zipper with hook and thread loop (you may want to put a better loop on) Princess seaming Bust darts Low scoop back neckline Center seams in front and partial in back, side seams both sides Dress is in good vintage condition. It was homemade and not by a very skilled seamstress. Please see the photos of the inside. There is a 1” area where it isn’t sewn under the right armhole that doesn’t show in photos. It doesn’t appear to have pulled apart, I think it just wasn’t ever sewn up. There are some discolorations on the lining that probably won’t come out with cleaning. There are some scattered spots on the velvet, primarily on the back (see photo), that may come out with cleaning but I can’t guarantee it. Dress has not been dry cleaned, I will leave that up to the new owner. Dress is in as found condition and is really cute and presents well! Measurements are taken with garment lying flat and doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the garment itself, and the fabric is not stretchy so please leave room for your body to move!
