🎠Vintage 1960s Rubens Originals Carousel Planter

Vintage 1960s Rubens Originals Ceramic Carousel Planter Box #595X, made in Japan, (blue horses with vivid gold painted on their manes and bridles). The top and bottom rims are painted pink-the top is also adorned with cute little bows. Overall, it's in great condition; there is what looks like a hairline type crack on one of the bows, about an inch long-you cannot see it from the inside (see pics #11-12), and 2 horses have tiny little chips on their noses (see pics #13-14). Inside is clean. 🪴These cool planters were made by several companies in Japan and were usually created for florists and stores like Woolworths. This particular planter has a red foil sticker on the bottom that reads: Rubens Originals, ©Los Angeles, made in Japan. Rubens Originals was an LA wholesale co. in the 50s, founded by Ruben Steinman. Apparently, him & his wife would often travel to Japan to order ceramics & eventually produced pieces, like this one, there as well. 👶🏼Great gift for the new mom, filled with a variety of baby skin care samples, cotton balls/swabs, lotions/creams, etc. Also ideal for a plant, of course, perhaps a pothos or succulents. Always perfect for decorating and/or staging a nursery as well! Lots of interesting possibilities! Top Opening: about 3.75" Width at widest: about 5.5" L/Height: about 6"
