Vintage 1960 Ben Zuckerman Coffee Colored Velvet 2 Piece Dress & Jacket Ensemble

Stylish and classic best describes this Ben Zucker New York vintage 2 piece ensemble. Perfect for any special occasion, or just because, to wear it is to feel truly elegant and timeless. Measuring 22" in the length of the fully lined jacket and 20 1/2" for the length of the sleeve. The jacket is accented by 6 prominent buttons encircled in gold tone with a center smokey topaz stone, as well as one on the cuff of each sleeve. The matching Princess A-Line cut sleeveless dress measures 32" in length and 18" across the width. There is a zipper going down the back. Size is unmarked but appears to be about 8-10. And now some trivia. Ben Zuckerman for those unfamiliar has made clothes for both Jackie Kennedy as well as Grace Kelly. It was noted that Grace Kelly wore one of his ensembles when she arrived in Monaco to marry Prince Rainier. Additionally he had been the recipient of both the Coty Fashion Award, as well as the same from Neiman Marcus. The ensemble is in good condition with the exception of a dark stain about the size of a silver dollar near the underside of one of the jacket sleeves, as can be seen in the photos. And as to that I've been advised that it should be able to be removed by a professional dry cleaner.
