Vintage 150’s jelly jar drinking glassware set. This vintage set of six. (4)jelly jar drinking glasses feature a green and yellow floral pattern covering the side panels of the glass. These repurposed or reusable drinking glasses were originally purchased in the local grocery store filled with a private label jelly The intention of the company selling the jelly or jam was to increase sales by offering a dual purpose product container that could be used later as a drinking glass.Notice the extra-thick band of glass at the lip of the tumbler. This band provided a strong seal for the lid and a nice lip for drinking your cold beverage from. This vintage set of drinking glasses are in excellent condition with 1 tiny chip but no cracks or loss of original decorative paint. Each glass holds sixteen (16) ounces of refreshment and measure 6” high.
