Vintage 1940s Wool Houndstooth Tweed Tailored Jacket

Classic vintage 1940s tweed houndstooth jacket with padded shoulders and nipped in waist. Four glass buttons. No label but I am confident fabric is wool. Expertly tailored for a great fit. Flat measurements: 17" across shoulders, 17" pit to pit, 15"waist, 17" hips, 24" length, 23" sleeves. Includes 1 extra button for replacement. Excellent condition with a few dark spots where the fabric is slightly worn (not holes). Details of dark spots: 1 small mark on the left chest area underneath the black yoke (photo #4) (can be covered with a pin/brooch). 2 small marks on the inside of the right sleeve (photos #9 & #10). 1 small mark on the outside of the right sleeve (photo #11).
