Very finely painted, made an occupied Japan colonial couple big size. Their faces are very detailed and expertly done. They have matching blonde or strawberry blonde hair color. She has a bow on top of her head and is curtsying with her ball gown which is painted very prettily with flower details. Gold edging details throughout. he is looking very handsome in his coattail jacket, a gold bow and gold sword scabbard and he's holding a rose in his right hand. Romance is a foot.
Nice gift for Valentine's Day, ceramic anniversary, person who likes the Victorian or Edwardian styles, housewarming gift, MIOJ collector, or even as a wedding cake topper for a traditional or fairytale wedding.
This couple is one of the best that made an occupied Japan ceramics and porcelain have to offer. Collection quality. Some of the best examples of MIOJ I have come across.
Size: (each) 8" tall x 3.25" wide x 2.5" deep
Condition: Impeccable. Perhaps a little gold gilt scuffing to toes (or maybe factory original).
