Vintage 1940's Ladies Summer Party Dress, Ladies Union Made

This is a three teared ivory lace sleeveless dress. There are no tags of any kind on the garment. It was possibly made during war time in the 1940's, before garment tags were required. I believe it to be cotton lace on cotton material. It is so pretty, so detailed. Here are some specifics I came up with. Condition: Very Good - no damage to dress. It does need to be cleaned as it has a bit of musty smell and little traces of make-up along the neck line an under arms. Not much - but noticeable. Measurements: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam 15", Bust: 31", Waist: 25". My guess it is closer to a size 0 for US sizes. It has a steel side zipper that works and in good shape. The three tears are attached tear by tear to make a full skirt. The thin shoulder straps are hand sewed. This would have been a dress for the wealthier ladies of that time.
