This dapper 1930s/40s suit came from a local mens ware store St. Clare-Kreiger Clothing, Menomoni, WI. which operated in the 30s and 40s. The two piece suit is cobalt blue fine wool with wide white chalk stripes. The double-breasted jacket features sharp wide peak lapels, 6 button front, and three buttons at each cuff. It has a jetted chest pocket, flapped hip pockets, and one inner pocket with butterfly lining, It is front lined and has shoulder pads. The trousers have a pleated front, 5 pockets with one buttoning in the back and a small watch pocket, wide cuffed hems, and a steel zip and button closure. This suit is in nice vintage condition, except for a hole on the leg that is pictured and one about the same size on the shoulder, no stains or odors to note. I steam cleaned it, however, it was in a chest when it came to me so it could benefit from professional cleaning and pressing.
