✨ Vintage 1940s 1950s Saks Fifth Ave Chartreuse Lime Silk Handbag Purse Clutch

This is a unique little handbag from either the early 1950s or the late 1940s made of silk and released by Saks Fifth Ave and designed by Coblentz. Bag is a chartreuse/lime color, which is so unique! I originally purchased this for myself to use during spooky season as it has very Frankenstein and Universal Monster vibes. The bag is extremely clean and in great vintage condition. The exterior and interior are made of silk, so there are some blemishes in the fabric, consistent with the type of fabric. The blemishes on the exterior, I believe, are part of the fabric itself and not damage. The exterior fabric also has a gorgeous two-toned “pattern” with the top green and bottom green separated with three single lines of the bottom green delicately dyed into the silk—truly a work of art! This definitely was a high ticket item in its day! Measures 8.5" wide, 6" tall, 1.5" deep, and handle has a drop of 5.5"
