Vintage 1939 Homer Laughlin Floral Pattern Oval Serving Platter. This is a beautiful vintage Homer Laughlin serving platter. I have researched and been unable to find any information about this pattern. It is a white platter with a ruffled edge. Red, blue and white flowers are featured around the lip in bunches. The code on the bottom is A 39 N 6. This shows that it was made in January 1939 in Newell, WV at Plant 6. This a very good quality piece and has a heavy weight. I would say it is like restaurant ware in weight and quality. Height 1.25 in Length 11.5 in Width 9.25 in Weight 4 lbs In very good vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing.There are utensil marks from years of use and some very small areas of discoloration on the edge. This is visualized on the last two photos.
