Vintage 30s dress with rare NRA National Recovery Act tag. The act was a response to the Great Depression and was in effect from 1933-1935. This gown was "made under dress code XTA" at that time. It's a simple and lovely thing with an open back and upside-down-v bodice. Full length with a slightly sheer fabric that has really elegant drape and movement. Slips on over head and snaps down side. Belt loops (no belt). Bias cut.
As a piece of American/fashion history, this is collectable, but it's also wearable and would make a fantastic vintage wedding dress / special occasion dress.
Shown on XS (32.25.36, 5'8"). Fit well.
PTP: up to 34"
Waist: 28" taut (best fit 25-26")
Hips: up to 36"
Length: app. 56"
In great vintage shape. There are some pin size holes in a couple of spots that could be darned and light smudges in spots. These do not detract from overall appearance (I have a video of these small flaws, but it's too long for Poshmark. You can message me via I.G. if you would like to see that before buying.) I have not attempted to remove them. Will really shine when wrinkles are removed.
