This is a vintage Mt Vernon era Bach 7C trumpet mouthpiece. Trumpet players should start on a Bach 7C. With Bach mouthpieces, as the number decreases, the size of the mouthpiece increases, specifically the cup diameter. The letter refers to the cup depth. As you progress through the alphabet, the cup gets shallower. This is an older Vincent Bach trumpet 7C mouthpiece that is from between 1957-1969. This mouthpiece also weighs more than a regular modern example, which normally would weigh 68 grams, whereas this one weighs 80 grams. The mouthpiece was quite tarnished, so I gave it a quick polish, but it would require a further cleaning. It has a bit of scuffing / scratching on the outside.
