I always used the straps on the shoulder. It looked cuter that way never did I use the handles on the shoulder. I think it’s meant for the straps. The whole strap looks like it measures 16 inches I’m gonna say this is more of a shoulder bag with the straps. I tried it on. It looks cuter that way

@mooneyes72 Ty for all the information. I prefer to use the double straps in place of the thinner long strap. I don’t like how it looks on my body with long strap, specially a bag that big.
