Hello all future shoppers to my closet! Just an FYI in advance, I record the condition of items I sell prior to shipment. I also do my best to photograph any flaws on garments and list this in the description as well. Please ask any questions you have about any items prior to buying or making an offer. I’ve read about some unfortunate transactions where a buyer tries to claim issues with the garment to get their money back when the condition of the item was excellent when the seller shipped. 👎🏻😾 I’m an honest seller and I believe in karma, you get what you give. 🙌🏻😉💛

nvandersloot @jensdeals37 Hello, Jennifer! I do use my phone. If the item has a zipper or buttons that I need to show function correctly before sending off, I have my husband hold the phone for me. It is awkward at times though. 😆 Almost like a person needs a GoPro to record it, lol 😂

cburdelle This is such a good idea! I️ should start doing this too just in case. It has not happened to me yet *knocks on wood* - but I have heard a lot lately of buyers trying to scam 😞 Luckily there are still a lot of trustworthy people out there! Love your closet, by the way!

nvandersloot @cburdelle Thanks, Coraline! I've only had one issue and the video came in handy, I think. I take video of front and back of the item, I show that all the zippers and buttons work, that there are not stains or flaws (unless they were noted in the listing) and I show the measurements as well. Just covering all the bases in case there are any misunderstandings. But you're right, the majority of the buyers are trustworthy and honest in their intentions :D

dressyu @nvandersloot I So agree, like you I nip it in the bud, by telling them that I am going to send them their copy of the wrapping process. One purchaser stated that a loop was missing, I asked her to refer to the 4th photo or the original Listing (that Thank Goodness can’t be altered) to see the huge arrow I had on the area of missing loop, AND a where in description, I stated that was cause of low price. Whoosa. But I have PFFS who have been robbed with situations you have described.

berrysclosett Great idea! I've unfortunately been victim of this scam. I had a buyer return an item claiming it had a spot and I knew it wasn't true because buyer had asked me many questions about the fit which I answered openly. I believe it must of not fit so buyer claimed it had dirt on item to return it. When I got it back, there was a drop of dirt on it which I knew wasn't by my doing. Smh. I think I'll use your idea for my future protection. Txs

nvandersloot @berrysclosett I’m sorry that happen to you. 😞 I️ would definitely record if I were you. I️ make sure the item is lit well, show front & back, seams, show that zippers work well and the inside lining of any coats. I️ show the flaw too if it had one.

nvandersloot @86tallgirl I would definitely do a thorough recording before you send it out. Making sure to show that the item is leaving in the condition it was sold as. Maybe put some type of listing like this one up too. To deter buyers that want to make fraudulent claims.

parisjetaime I do the same for my high priced item. But, I'm thinking I should do it to all. I had an issue with someone saying she didn't receive the item even though tracking show it was delivered. Granted, this issue happened recently in another website. But still... Can't trust nowadays.
