peekatboostique I see you live in High Point. My friends & I are maining a trip there this summer. Any suggestions of things to do besides visiting the furniture stores?

babywonton @peekatboostique hey! Yes I just moved here from California! There’s not a whole lot to do, you can check out the giant chest of drawers. But if you’re willing to drive a little ways, there’s plenty of waterfalls, horseback riding, and zip lining !

peekatboostique @babywonton Thanks for your quick response. I'm sure 4 out of 6 won't be zip lining...LOL, well I guess it's furniture "looking" after all. What's the must see waterfall? I use to live in San Francisco...still love that place.

babywonton @peekatboostique I lived up in Marin by SF for awhile! What brings you out here? You won’t be very impressed lol. Hanging Rock State Park has several waterfalls, ranging in walking distance from 0.2 miles to a mile-ish. High point has giant dresser drawers that’s literally it. Some good food places to check out in high Point 98 Asian bistro & penny path crepes. My favorite restaurants are in downtown winston salem about 20 mins away. Mary’s Gourmet Diner, willow bistro and sixth & vine!

peekatboostique @babywonton Military took us to SF & AL where we've been 20+ yrs. We're going to Savannah, Charleston & then to Highpoint because one of us (not me...lol) heard about the furniture factories & wanted to see them. I love decorating, but not sure I love it this much & I'm trying to plan the trip, so when I saw you lived there, I thought I'd ask.

babywonton @peekatboostique @peekatboostique oh...interesting. I didn’t even know the factories were open year around. Most of the year our downtown furniture area looks like a ghost town, until the furniture market happens. But it’s not even open to the public! I heard Charleston is really nice!
