Victorian Jet Mourning Necklace 36"" Long

What a wonderful piece of mourning memorabilia from the Victorian era. Mourning became a fashion statement in the 1800's after Queen Victoria's beloved Prince Albert died. This is a fabulous mourning necklace measuring 36 inches long and i believe the beads are made of french jet and are hand carved so as to have subtle difference in shape and size of each bead. The average diameter of the beads are 9mm and the necklace has the original brass spring ring clasp, This is a perfect gift for the collector of Victorian or mourning pieces or just something fun to wear.
