Very Old and VERY Rare Royal Albert Cup/Saucer. “April Showers”. Bone China.

This is a very rare Royal Albert, vintage 1950’s, bone China cup/saucer in the “April Showers” pattern. It is very hard to find now. This set is in wonderful condition for it’s age. There is one small tiny area of gold wear on the cup rim very minor wear to the gold on the footed cup. The cup and saucer are stamped Royal Albert Bone China, England “April Showers” cup is numbered. Green, white and yellow dripping flowers on white China base. Cup, cup rim, cup base and handle rimmed in gold. Scalloped saucer is rimmed in gold. It is unusual to find a 74 year old set in this condition. The minor wear is consistent for it’s age. This is from my personal collection. Royal Albert Bone China was founded in 1904 but had it’s roots in the Royal Albert Works of 1896. It was named after Prince Albert of England, born in 1895. Royal Albert Bone China was the most sought after China in England. 5.5” diameter saucer, 2 7/8” tall cup, 3 inch diameter mouth on cup.
